Sarah Ford began her professional horn playing career on the east coast of the United States, playing with orchestras and chamber groups in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. However, in September 2016, she made the life-changing, cross country journey to join the Colorado Springs Philharmonic horn section, as principal horn and later as second horn. Subsequently, Sarah began teaching horn at CSU-Pueblo (2016-2021), UC-Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak State College, and Colorado College. She performs regularly with local groups such as the Boulder Philharmonic, Colorado Ballet Orchestra, Colorado Symphony, Wyoming Symphony, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, Nexus Brass, Denver Brass, Denver Municipal Band, and Inside the Orchestra. While on the east coast, Sarah earned her Master of Music from the Yale School of Music and her Bachelor of Music degree from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.
